GMT800 TPMS Disable How-To

It's a fairly simple process to remove the TPMS system and get rid of that annoying "Service Tire Monitor" message that pops up every time you start your vehicle.

So for starters, the TPMS antenna and radio module are inside the Passenger Door Module. (Passenger side door lock switch and window switch)

There are a few different modules that were made, the keyless entry radio is also in this module so there are ones with and without keyless entry and with and without TPMS.

If you look at the sticker on the bottom side of the module where the connectors plug in, you'll see the options listed.

Ones with TPMS and keyless entry will say "PDM w/ US RFA w/ TPM" and they have part numbers of 10398572, 15132194 or 21997591.

Ones without TPMS will say "PDM w/ US RFA" with part numbers of 15132196, 15202855 or 21997593.

You can buy these from eBay from anywhere from $30 to $50 (the price of 1 TPM sensor) or find them in a local junkyard and swap the factory module with a non-TPMS one.

After swapping you have to disconnect the battery for 10 minutes to reset the BCM.

Or in my case - Swap out the modules, think it didnt work, instead of swapping back to original just leave it, then a few days later drain your battery by leaving something turned on overnight and then noticing theres no more "Service Tire Monitor" message.

Whichever way you choose, you should no longer have those annoying messages.
